A Simple Offer

 If you would come to our house, I would offer you:
--Corn on the cob

--Fresh peaches and blackberries

But mostly I want to give you:

--A newborn to hold! (while I sleep!!)

Ian's been quite fussy.  I'm trying to figure out what's wrong.  Don't want to take the time to spell out the issues and what I've been trying, 'cause I'd rather be catching Zzzzzzzzzzzz's.  (wishful thinking that is.
)

I would come too but I'm not sure he would feel the most comfortable around this growing belly. :) I was thinking about you and Ian the other night and I told Eric I'm afraid we have truely forgotten what we're getting into again. :) 4 years is a long time!

I would love to come, but I'm not sure how much help 'we' would be...add 3 more to your household and I'm afraid you wouldn't be getting much sleep. :whocares:

Oh, my,  I want to be there. I liked being there when the first two weren't an option and would come again just to take care of Ian.  I wish a restful nap for you today.   Sorry to interrupt one of them.

I know all about life with fussy babies. It's a challenge, to say the least! The fresh corn and fruits sound very tempting!

Oh those early days of babyhood, so sweet, but EXHAUSTING. Carsons 9 months old and sleeps a lot. All night, good naps etc, so I'm guessing Ian will do that sometime, in the meantime, try getting a weekend where daddy holds him a LOT and you sleep away the saturday and sunday if possible, two days might just get you through another week. Blessings to you all.

oh! so sorry for you! the newborn stage is so precious, but so extremely overwhelming and tiring in the same breath. and, if only you could look to a book to figure out what to do and make your little one happy instead of fussy....hang in there! I know everyone probably says this, but...

this too shall pass.

hugs~

I wish I could stop in and cuddle your baby awhile. And I would be all sympathy ears for a fussy newborn. Been there... exhausting. And if you don't mind, that fresh food sounds awesome!

oh i'm sorry!! and i can somewhat identify,,, i'm thinking olivia may be border-line colicky. not full colicky but she'll get fussy spells where she will not settle during the day.j some days she hardly sleeps an hour. but her nights have been super so i can at least get a few hours of straight sleep... but we're taking her for a chiropractor-sort of appointment today just to see if that would help... hope things get better for you soon! this can be so frustrating and you don't know what else to do!!!

@Esther_lynn -

I can always tell when someone has had a fussy baby because they really are all sympathy.

i am all and total sympathy. the one regret that i had was that i didn't try harder to the bottom of the  problem. i was so tired, i just muddled thru it. looking back, i pry should have distanced myself from the baby occasionally just so i could catch my breath and be a better mom, but who wants to care for an extremely fussy baby.
